Store Purchases Returns & Exchanges Policy

We will exchange merchandise returned as sold and accompanied by the original receipt within 28 days of purchase, or refund within 14 days of purchase, once specific return requirements of the items are met* Some items have specific restrictions or exclusions.
Reduced priced merchandise may only be exchanged within 14 days from the date of purchase. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Note, a gift receipt is not an original receipt. Merchandise accompanied by a gift receipt may be exchanged within 28 days.
Brown Thomas Arnotts shall not be responsible for products until such products have been successfully returned to Brown Thomas Arnotts in their original packaging.
Nothing in this policy will impact your statutory rights.
Non-returnable items:*
- Unsealed, opened and worn items;
- Made-to-measure, made-to-order, altered, or personalised items;
- Items that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which
- have been unsealed following delivery;
- All food items (including hampers);
- Beauty products where packaging has been removed or unsealed;
- Intimates, briefs, lingerie, underwear, swimwear, hosiery, and body contour apparel;
- Bedding (including mattress protectors, duvets, duvet covers, sheets, pillows, pillowcases and pillow protectors);
- Gift cards;
- Seasonal Products, Christmas decorations, and Christmas trees;
- Earrings and pierced jewellery; and
- Paper Carrier Bags.
Where a manufacturing fault is identified your statutory rights will apply.
Customers should be aware of our returns policy before making a purchase; when purchasing any item that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons or reduced-price merchandise, they should be advised to check our exchange policy before using or opening their purchases. Tags and stickers advising of this policy must be attached to the items.
How to return or exchange:
Items purchased in-store may be returned within 14 or 28 days, as appropriate, from the date of purchase. Please note merchandise must be accompanied by an original receipt or a digital receipt on the Arnotts App.

Faulty Products
If you think there is something wrong with your products, please notify us as soon as you become aware of a potential issue with the product. You may either bring it into one of our stores or visit our Contact Us page.
